Principal’s Welcome
A message from Anthony McIver
Welcome to Scott Creek Primary – a small, innovative, community school situated in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. Since opening in 1893, our school is proudly renowned for its successful student achievements, our interactions with the wider community and the positive impacts made on each child that have walked through our doors, over a 130 year period.
We have a long tradition of excellence in a wide range of academic and extra curricular activities. Our team of experienced and enthusiastic teachers, deliver an effective and ‘hands-on’ curriculum that provides strong foundations for learning and caters for the diverse learning styles of all children. We encourage our students to develop inquiring minds, become critical thinkers, build their confidence, explore their surroundings and importantly, make a positive difference in the world.
Our school teaches children from Reception to Year 6. Our educators provide quality lessons that allow students to develop strong skills in Literacy and Numeracy. Student learning is further enriched through other subjects: HASS, Science, Arts, Music, Health/Physical Education, Cooking, Gardening, Technologies, STEAM, AUSLAN and importantly, Outdoor Education.
We provide individualised learning programs for our students, ensuring a close working partnership is formed between staff, parents and students. Our school has a strong culture of parent and community collaboration. As Principal of Scott Creek Primary, it would be my absolute pleasure to share our school with prospective families and students. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to organise a tour.
Kind Regards,
Anthony McIver (Principal)
